Care City has been awarded funding by the Rayne Foundation: Better Careers for Better Care Programme to work in partnership with care providers, the NHS and Local Authorities across North East London to create Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner roles employed by care providers, which work closely with nursing and AHP colleagues to increase capacity within the system.
In Redbridge, the funding will support the selected care provider to employ a Nursing Associate for a 12 month period.
For Apprenticeships the funding will support selected care providers to create an Apprentice on 2-year programmes leading to registration as a Nursing Associate or qualification as an Assistant Practitioner with OT/Speech and Language or Dietetics/OT and Learning Disability expertise. The roles vary depending where the role is being created.
